Welcome to Hidden Lakes Park
Tucked right at the edge of the Hidden Lakes community, this 26-acre park is a genuine natural escape, built around two picturesque lakes with trails winding through for hiking, walking, and running. It's the kind of amenity that turns a neighborhood into a lifestyle.
For anyone who likes to stay active, the park delivers: baseball and softball fields, basketball and tennis courts, and a sand volleyball court, plus a bike path for cycling and running and a jogging track. Families will appreciate the two tot play areas, and if fishing is your thing, this lake is the largest in Contra Costa County (a license is required).
What makes it special isn't just the amenities — it's the sense of discovery. The lakes aren't visible from the road or parking lot, and there aren't any trail signs pointing to them, so exploring feels like a small adventure rather than a walk to a landmark. Once you find them, you're rewarded with rustic views of oak trees, tall grasses, and birds, with the surrounding hills reflected on the calm water.
The park also connects to the wider trail network — a 2-mile trail links it to neighboring Hidden Valley Park, and from there you can pick up the 13.5-mile Contra Costa Canal Trail, a paved, ADA-approved path for walking, biking, and even horseback riding.
